on the Superior Court, Justice Courts, Adult and Juvenile Probation Departments and information on all
of our court programs and services. Our goal is to continue to create innovative programs and
cost-effective services while maintaining an exemplary level of customer service.
The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County
We are the 5th largest trial court system in the Nation and Maricopa County is the fastest growing U.S.
county. To serve our rapidly-increasing population, we have an outstanding bench:
- 95 Superior Court Judges
- 55 Superior Court Commissioners
- 23 Justices of the Peace

In addition to the Downtown Phoenix Superior Court complex, we have court centers to serve our
population in all parts of our large county:

New Court Facilities
With the dramatic increase in population, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors recognized the need
for more courtrooms and new courthouses throughout the Valley. In the next four years, the following
court buildings will open:
- Expansion of the Southeast Regional Court Center (Mesa) – to open 2010
- Southwest Regional Court Center (Avondale) – to open 2010
