SSC: Legal Separation Decree When Children are Involved

Superior Court TO GET A LEGAL SEPARATION DECREE WHEN MINOR CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED

ATTENTION: Use the forms on this page if the following factors apply to your situation:

You or your spouse filed a petition for legal separation with minor children, AND,
You and your spouse have minor children with each other OR the wife is pregnant by the husband or will be pregnant by the husband before the legal separation is over, AND,
You (and your spouse if you are proceeding by consent) have completed the court papers about Legal Decision Making (Custody), parenting time, and child support and have attended the Parent Information Program class and have filed your certificate with the Clerk of the Court, AND,
You are ready to complete the court papers to get a legal separation decree, AND ,
You are going to a default hearing, or both parties have signed the document consenting to the legal separation (Consent Decree papers), or you are going to a legal separation trial.
