Law Library >Library Information Guide to Law Library Services Reference and Information Services Staff will answer basic questions about Library and Court resources; assist patrons with a starting point for their legal research; familiarize patrons with print and electronic resources. Research Assistance Sessions Sessions for research assistance may be scheduled with Reference Staff and generally last one hour. The purpose of the session is not to do research for patrons, but rather, to help patrons find a place to start. Staff will help determine what resources are best for a project, teach patrons how to use the materials, and help devise search strategies. Document Delivery Services Fax Services The Law Library accepts requests to fax copies of library materials. All attempts will be made to fulfill the request the same day as received.

Charges are:

  • $5.00 Service charge
  • $0.50 Per page for local calls, or $1.00 Per page for long distance
  • $2.50 To send or receive a personal fax

 Photocopy Services The Law Library accepts requests to photocopy library materials for mailing or pickup within 24 hours of your request.

Charges are:

  • $2.50 Service charge
  • $0.25 Per page

 Photocopy While You Wait Services The Law Library accepts requests to photocopy library materials while you wait. Materials must be brought to the Circulation Desk and requests will be processed as quickly as possible.

Charges are:

  • $0.20 Per page

 E-mail Services The Law Library provides an e-mail document delivery service. We will send any materials we are able to download from the Internet or from our CD collection. You may submit your request using this request form, or send e-mail to services@scll.maricopa.gov. Interlibrary Loans Materials not owned by the Law Library may be borrowed from other libraries. Charges, if any, are set by the lending library. Patrons will be advised of any charges before the materials are shipped, and will be notified when the materials are received. Copyright The Law Library reserves the right to refuse any document delivery request that the Library staff believes would be a violation of copyright laws. return to top
General Library Services Photocopiers Coin and copy card operated photocopiers are located on the second floor. Copy cards may be purchased in the photocopier area from the vending unit. Cards are rechargeable through the same vending unit. Copies are currently $0.10 per page. Circulation Borrowing Library books and materials is generally governed by the Library's Circulation Policy. The Law Library reserves the right to change the circulation status of specific items based on demand and the need to provide Library users with the greatest possible access to legal materials. Books circulate for a one week period with a one week renewal. Overdue books incur a fine of $0.50 per day per item. Book Retrieval and Hold The Law Library accepts telephone requests to retrieve and hold books for pickup. return to top
